Finland: Ministry opens electronic job application form

eGovernment news

Helsinki, 31 January, 2006 — In Finland, the Ministry of Labour has opened a electronic service on its online site that provides an electronic form for seeking work. No personal visit to the employment office is required. The service is based on personal identification through an ID card with a chip or through electronic banking ID.

If the electronic form is filled on the Internet without electronic identification, the job application is only activated after a visit to the employment office.
