Helsinki, 5 April, 2005 — Finnish newspaper Helsingin Sanomat (published by Sanoma Corporation) has started to publish online news on the Internet site and teletext pages of TV channel Nelonen (that is part of media group SanomaWSOY's the electronic media division SWelcom) as of April 2005. The almost 24-hour news service guarantees the latest news at all times. According to Nelonen, the cooperation will bring new resources and enable the company to offer better services to customers also outside TV news. According to Helsingin Sanomat, the cooperation offers the newspaper a new channel for its news operations. On average, 600,000 readers visit Nelonen's teletext pages a day, while about 150,000 access Nelonen.fi a week.
