Helsinki, 10 April, 2003 (Esmerk) — In Finland, the commercial TV channel Nelonen will cooperate with Nokia on a multimedia pilot project between a mobile phone and a TV programme. The pilot involves the talk show Hyppönen Enbuske Experience, and by loading the service the viewer can receive for instance more information about the guests or the topics of the programme. Also, the viewer can choose questions to be asked on air, or download logos or ringing tones related to the show.

Manager Phil Brown of Nokia Mobile Phones' Mobile Services says that consumers are interested in digital services that have been targeted to specific groups. The pilot project is a breakthrough in mobile services, and it utilises the features of Nokia's latest models. Marketing manager Hans Edin of Nelonen says the pilot will be used to look for future shapes of television entertainment.
